NSW Minister for Small Business Katrina Hodgkinson has today launched the Small Biz Bus, which will be used as a vehicle (no pun intended) for assisting the State’s SME business owners.

The State government’s Small Biz Bus, which is sponsored by NAB and Telstra, will be used to deliver assistance and mentoring to SME owners through NSW, with government-appointed experts travelling around the state to help link small business owners/operators to local mentors and services. During each stop, business owners will have access to face-to-face sessions with the experts.

“There is a schedule for the Small Biz Bus, so organisations such as councils, industry and business groups can book in for the bus to make an additional stop,” Hodgkinson explained at the launch. “If needed, the bus will also provide disaster response services to small businesses that have experienced challenges as a result of natural disasters.”Launch_of_Small_Biz_BusLG

“From Broken Hill to Ballina to Bega small businesses are the engine room of our economy and will benefit from the expert advice and guidance that they may not have otherwise had access to,” nabbusiness NSW General Manager David Tonuri said.

“We’ve been working closely with small to medium sized businesses across the country for decades, identifying their unique challenges and requirements to deliver tailored solutions,” John Boniciolli Executive Director Telstra Business added. “We’re proud to be offering these same services to even more NSW businesses as part of the Small Biz Bus program.”
