The CSIRO’s SME Engagement Centre has announced it will be running a series of forums from September to November covering a range of pertinent topics for SMEs including branding, leadership and international development.

The first forum in the three part Great Ideas & Guts Forum Series happens from 1000 on Wednesday September 18 at The Australian Synchrotron in Clayton, Melbourne and will feature a presentation by Guy Taylor. Taylor will offer his insights into:

  • The difference between identity and brand.
  • How to create and cultivate a powerful brand.
  • How to think like a brand strategist and turn any business into a charismatic brand.
  • Learning the seven guidelines for developing a standout name.

The CSIRO’s SME Engagement team says this forum is aimed at SME business owners; marketing managers and those whose responsibility is marketing; individuals exporting or intending to export who are developing their own brands; and anyone considering a new venture.

More information about these events, including how to register, can be found here. All three of these forums will be held in Melbourne, but the CSIRO's SME Engagement Centre says it's looking to do further events in other states in the near future.
