The 2014 My Business Awards, held at Doltone House Hyde Park in Sydney on Tuesday November 11, was a cracking night of SME celebration and inspiration. Here is our report from the night - and our list of 2014 Winners.
Held in the 2014 for the 14th consecutive year, the My Business Awards is Australia’s leading – and only – annual business awards program dedicated to the SME sector.
A packed crowd of SME business people from around the country convened in Doltone House Hyde Park’s lavish Grand Ballroom on the night. Present at the 2014 My Business Awards were stellar interstate SME business owners from Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, as well as a strong turnout from local Sydneysiders.
Veteran Aussie finance journo and My Business columnist Michael Pascoe ably manned the stage as MC for the night. Joining him onstage was Australian Small Business Commissioner Mark Brennan (also a My Business columnist), who opened the night with a brief update from his office.
Later on the night, an expert panel featuring Sumo Salad CEO (and former My Business Award winner) Luke Baylis; Dave Cervelli, CEO of Discover Coaching; Gen George, Founder and Managing Director of OneShift; and Lorraine Murphy, Founder and Head of Relationships at Remarkables Group participated in a Q&A session aimed at inspiring SME business owners on to greater heights.
