Salesforce has announced a new partnership with StartupAUS, a not-for-profit technology start-up advocacy group, to help accelerate Australian startup ecosystem growth.
Through the partnership between Salesforce and StartupAUS, Australian start-ups will gain access to Salesforce technology and connect with experts and executives, both locally and globally, at Salesforce events. Salesforce will also work closely with StartupAUS to encourage a positive and productive policy and regulatory environment for start-ups in Australia.
“The Australian start-up economy is entering an exciting new era of innovation and tremendous growth,” said Robert Wickham, regional vice president, APAC Salesforce.
As part of the partnership launch with StartupAUS, Salesforce announced the launch of the Salesforce for Startups program in Australia, which gives tech entrepreneurs tools to help build and grow their businesses. It connects early stage tech entrepreneurs with a unique community of Salesforce customers, partners, executives, subject-matter experts and other successful entrepreneurs.
Peter Bradd, a StartupAUS board member and entrepreneur-in-residence at Fusion Labs, added that both organisations believe a homegrown tech sector is vital to Australia’s economic future.
“But getting there will require a national imperative to create the right environment, with a supportive culture that empowers new entrepreneurs and provides future generations with the tech skills needed to succeed,” said Bradd. “Salesforce is one of the original tech startup success stories. We are excited to have a global leader in the space on board as a partner of StartupAUS to join us in championing Australia’s vibrant startup ecosystem.”
Salesforce says the partnership and the Salesforce for Startups program will provide Australian start-ups with a framework in which they can give back to the local community, based on the Pledge 1% program, which aims to inspire early-stage corporate philanthropy.
