Canberra-based Jessica May and her recruitment business Enabled Employment have been judged the winner of the Optus Your Shark Tank event.
After pitching to a panel of judges against four other finalists at Channel Ten studios in Sydney yesterday (March 23), May and Enabled Employment were judged the deserving winner of the Your Shark Tankcompetition.
Enabled Employment is a Canberra based start-up enabling employers to tap into the huge talent pool of Australians living with a disability. The organisation matches employees with clients or a number of organisations from government departments to private sector clients.
Enabled Employment has gone from strength to strength since it launched just six months ago, and now has over 1,600 potential employees.
As the Your Shark Tankwinner, May received an Optus #bigideas entrepreneur's kit which includes $10,000 in prize money, products and services from Optus, as well as mentoring sessions with Boost Juice Founder and Shark Tank judge Janine Allis and the Optus venture capital team.
An initiative of Optus, Your Shark Tank is helping to foster innovation and support entrepreneurship in the community by identifying Australians with big ideas and inspiring entrepreneurial spirit.
