This award recognises the woman who has most effectively shaped her business’ success and delivered outstanding growth and development.
It is open to all women that hold a senior position in an SME (CEO, director, manager or equivalent title), and is based on activities in the 2015-16 financial year.
To be eligible for this award, the business needs to have 200 employees or fewer as of 30 June 2016 and be registered in Australia (or respective state/territory) as a sole trader, a partnership, or an incorporated or listed business.
The nominee must be a shareholder in the business and be living in Australia as an Australian citizen, or have Australian residency status.
Submission criteria and requirements
Please answer the following questions (400 words max per question):
Detail your approach to leadership, diversity and inclusion, and how it influences your actions and activities in your business.
Highlight the initiatives or programs you have developed in your business, detailing their success.
Highlight innovation in your business and how it has impacted its growth.
Outline the staff management/development strategies you have implemented in your business to ensure you attract/retain the best talent.
What is a major obstacle your business has overcome, and how did you ensure a favourable outcome?
What is your proudest achievement, and why? Outline what you have learnt and how it will influence your business in the years ahead.
We also encourage entrants to submit an optional short video up to 30 seconds long answering the question, “What does business success mean to you?”
Please attach two references, testimonials or other sources of information (such as any financial or business metrics and/or statements, with supporting documentation such as audited statements and third-party independent data reports) to support your nomination.
