With 13 months' oak maturation in new and one-to-three year old French and American hogsheads and puncheons, this wine is a rich cherry red in colour.
The nose shows dried spices with lifted notes of black plums, vanilla and tobacco. The elegant finish is soft, dry and long, with a fine tannin structure.
The Wilhelm shiraz 2014 can be drunk between now or cellared until 2030.
