Dr Monique Beedles, a member of the My Business blogging team, has been awarded the St George Bank Fostering Executive Women (FEW) International Scholarship for the Harvard Business School in Boston.
Dr Monique Beedles is a successful Brisbane business strategist and author. She holds a PhD in Business Strategy from QUT and runs her own management consulting practice, Teak Yew.
Sponsored by St George Bank and awarded as part of the FEW program for QUT Business School Alumni, the scholarship provides recipients with the opportunity to attend the Harvard Business School Executive Education program in May 2012.
With only two scholarships awarded every year, Dr Beedles and fellow recipient Natasha Bowe, were selected to attend the prestigious university after undertaking a rigorous interview process, demonstrating their business achievements and leadership abilities. Dr Beedles said the scholarship involved participation in the Women’s Leadership Forum: Innovation Strategies for a Changing World.
“The program attracts a dynamic group of senior businesswomen from around the world, from very diverse business backgrounds,” Dr Beedles said. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to talk business with successful leaders of public and private firms, including business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate officers, and non-profit executives.”
