SME business owners struggling to navigate the often complicated, bureaucratic waters of government grants are invited to attend an event in Sydney tomorrow to better understand how to access government assistance.
The whole area of grants and government assistance for business is commonly viewed as complicated, bureaucratic and consequently lumped in the ‘just too hard’ basket. However, each year the government offers around $50 billion in business grants and assistance, and business owners who don’t understand the application process could be missing out.
Tomorrow (Wednesday November 14), Sydney will play host to Grants Connector – a one-day event that aims to equip SME business owners with the information and knowledge they need to successfully apply for government assistance for their business.
The event, which runs from 1300-1830 Australian Technology Park at Eveleigh, features an impressive line-up of speakers and exhibitors, including:
- Adrian Spencer of Grant Ready, who is developing the first infographic on all the 617 grants available.
- AusIndustry's Yianni Mendis, who will explains what NOT to do to get a grant.
- Gerry Frittmann of TCF, discussing R&D tax incentives.
- The Office of State Revenue's Larissa Devlin, who will discuss the Jobs Action Plan, which helps businesses to employ new workers and expand their enterprises.
- Marcus Tarrant of Business Planning HQ, sharing his five top tips on Capital Raising.
- Bruce Patten of the Pattens Group Pty Ltd, who have raised $300 million in grant revenue for clients, who will share his secrets.
