Watch now

Regional businesses are navigating a period of significant change, from supply chain disruption and rising energy costs to evolving technology and investment needs. How regions prepare now could shape their ability to adapt, grow and support their communities in the years ahead.

Designing Regional Economies for a Time of Change, presented in partnership with Regen Labs, explores an important question:

What would it take to design regional economies that don’t just survive disruption, but thrive because of it?

Imagine it is 2028. A series of supply chain shocks has disrupted national logistics networks. Supermarket shelves are thinning, energy prices are rising and another national supply crisis is unfolding.

Yet in some regional towns, the lights stay on, the fridges remain full and local businesses continue trading. These communities are not necessarily the biggest or wealthiest. They are the ones that invested in stronger local supply chains, distributed energy, trusted business networks and enterprises deeply connected to place.

Watch this thought-provoking session to explore:

  • What resilient regional economies could look like in the years ahead
  • Regen Labs’ research for the NSW Government into regional business transformation and regenerative economic development
  • How regional businesses, communities and institutions can move from reactive adaptation towards proactive economic transformation
  • How small and medium enterprises are already strengthening local resilience through food systems, energy, circular manufacturing and community finance

The webinar also includes a panel conversation with practitioners working within regional communities.
