WHS induction of new employees and contractors is important because most new people to the workplace do not know the safety requirements of the workplace, and are at greater risk of injury as a result.
A WHS Workplace Induction Checklist can be used for new employees and contractors prior to the commencement of work. You may need to add other WHS items, or work specific instructions to this list. The checklist can be tailored to suit your own workplace, and use it for any new employees (either recent employees or contractors, or future ones).
