Under the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act all contractors have a range of responsibilities concerning work health and safety and injury management.
Contractors who are providing services to an organisation are required to take responsibility for their own health and safety in the workplace and be accountable for their actions. This includes complying with the organisation’s WHS policies and procedures.
The WHS Responsibilities For a Contractor document provides an outline of responsibilities which will assist a contractor to be compliant with the requirements imposed on them.
